Over three thousand patients received medical care at hospitals set up in the Maha Kumbh area on the first day of the event. Earlier, Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak announced on January 12th that over 10,000 patients had been provided medical aid before the Maha Kumbh officially began.

Pathak emphasized that ensuring high-quality healthcare for devotees attending the Maha Kumbh is a top priority. He also assured that special measures are being taken to address health concerns during the winter, ensuring that no patient faces difficulties.

The Central Hospital at Parade Ground and the Sub-Central Hospital in Arail (Sector 24) are fully operational, offering specialist doctors and facilities for patient sample collection. The 25-bed Sub-Central Hospital in Arail is equipped with modern amenities and running at full capacity.

Maha Kumbh

On New Year’s Day, 900 patients were treated at the Central Hospital’s OPD, and four children were born there, named Kumbh, Ganga, Shambhu, and Bajrangi. Both mothers and infants are reported to be healthy, with Bajrangi born during the first holy bath of the Kumbh.

The Central Hospital also administered treatment to seven heart attack patients, including the ADM of Korba, Chhattisgarh. Dr. Siddharth Pandey confirmed that the ADM is stable.
