Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, has pledged a donation of Rs 10,000 crore to various social initiatives, with a focus on enhancing infrastructure in healthcare, education, and skill development. As part of this initiative, the group will invest Rs 6,000 crore to establish two 1,000-bed multi-specialty hospitals and medical colleges in Mumbai and Ahmedabad, in partnership with Mayo Clinic. Adani described the wedding of his younger son, Jeet, as a special occasion and an opportunity for his family to continue advancing such philanthropic projects.
“We aim to change the lives of many underprivileged children in the country,” Adani stated. Mayo Clinic, the world’s largest integrated not-for-profit medical group, will contribute technical expertise to the initiative, including advice on integrating technology to enhance healthcare quality, with a focus on digital and information technology.The pledged funds will also be used to create affordable, high-quality K-12 schools and advanced global skill academies, ensuring employability for students. Gautam Adani has further plans to expand the Adani Health Cities concept, with future projects in cities and towns across India.Additionally, Adani has announced the launch of Mangal Seva, an initiative to provide Rs 10 lakh annually to support the marriages of 500 women with disabilities.
