NEW DELHI: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, announced on Friday the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Wipro GE Healthcare to establish an AI Health Innovations Hub.
This hub aims to revolutionize healthcare by developing cutting-edge products and solutions that enhance healthcare delivery and outcomes. The focus will be on precision diagnosis, advanced treatment protocols, and real-time patient data tracking.
As the technology partner, Wipro GE Healthcare will invest approximately USD 1 million over the next five years to co-develop, test, and implement intelligent systems and workflow solutions in cardiology, oncology, and neurology. AIIMS, as the clinical partner, will contribute by providing multi-modal clinical insights and serving as a real-world testing environment for evaluating, refining, and deploying AI-enabled solutions from GE Healthcare.
A joint working committee, comprising members from both organizations, will oversee the collaboration. Their efforts will include clinical research initiatives and academic engagement, ensuring that the solutions are practical, effective, and aligned with healthcare needs.

Dr. M. Srinivas, Director of AIIMS, emphasized the strategic significance of this partnership. “This collaboration with Wipro GE Healthcare aligns perfectly with the national vision of Viksit Bharat through advanced healthcare. At AIIMS, we are dedicated to improving patient care through clinical research and its practical applications. With Wipro GE Healthcare’s expertise in precision care and AI, we are confident this partnership will accelerate the development and validation of advanced medical technologies, enabling us to offer more effective care for patients,” he said.
