Unlike conventional ultrasounds, POCUS delivers immediate insights into specific clinical queries, enabling swift decision-making in critical situations. AIIMS Bhopal Director, Dr. Ajai Singh, stressed its importance, stating, “In emergency medicine, every second matters. POCUS allows for rapid and precise diagnosis right at the patient’s side.”

He also suggested that individuals outside the medical field, such as traffic police and auto-rickshaw drivers, could benefit from emergency care training since they are often first responders at accident sites.

AIIMS Bhopal President, Dr. Sunil Malik, highlighted the crucial role of emergency medicine, emphasizing the need for continuous advancements in the field.

The workshop featured expert-led training with a strong focus on simulation, case studies, and a high faculty-to-participant ratio. The objective was to enhance diagnostic speed, reduce wait times for critical procedures, improve trauma survival rates, and elevate the overall quality of emergency care.

The event was organized by AIIMS Bhopal’s Department of Trauma and Emergency Medicine, with contributions from Dr. Bupeshwari Patel, Dr. Pooja Thaware, Dr. Saurabh Trivedi, and other team members.
