Asian Institute of Medical Sciences Hosts Cycling Marathon to Promote Health & Fitness

The Asian Institute of Medical Sciences successfully organized a cycling marathon in the Delhi NCR region, drawing 375 participants for 21-kilometer and 10-kilometer races aimed at promoting fitness and health awareness. The event was flagged off by Dr. N. K. Pandey, Chairman of Asian Hospital, alongside Director Anupam Pandey, Director of International Patient Services Neha Pandey, and other hospital officials.

Cyclists in the 21KM race traversed scenic routes, including Taj Vivanta Hotel and Kant Enclave, while the 10KM race started from Anangpur and concluded at the hospital. The event catered to participants aged 10 to 76 years, divided into two age groups: 10-40 years and 40-76 years, with separate male and female categories. To ensure safety and comfort, nursing staff, ambulances, physiotherapists, and hydration stations were positioned along the route. Participants received T-shirts, medals, tracking chips, and refreshments to enhance their experience.

Dr. N. K. Pandey commended the enthusiastic turnout, emphasizing that the marathon was not just a competition but a step toward fostering a healthier community. The winners in both race categories were awarded cash prizes, with the 21KM race offering ₹15,000, ₹10,000, and ₹5,000 for the top three finishers, and the 10KM race awarding ₹10,000, ₹7,000, and ₹5,000.The event also featured a lively ‘Raahgiri’ session, with Zumba and Bhangra performances, adding a festive touch to the day.
