Aster DM Healthcare has announced a key leadership change in its technology function. Veneeth Purushotaman, who served as Group Chief Information Officer (CIO) for over seven years, will be succeeded by Kumar K.V. as the new Group CIO.
Kumar K.V. brings over two decades of experience in healthcare IT and enterprise technology leadership including senior responsibilities at organisations such as Narayana Health, PwC and Tata Consultancy Services. In his new role, he will drive Aster’s next phase of digital innovation with focus on interoperability, data-driven care and scalable tech infrastructure.
Purushotaman leaves behind a legacy of consolidating the company’s global tech foundation, he oversaw system consolidation, accelerated cloud adoption and strengthened Cybersecurity frameworks across the India and GCC operations. He will continue at Aster in the role of Vice President – Technology (Transition Office) for a brief period to ensure a smooth handover.
The transition signals Aster’s firm commitment to maintain its technology momentum while expanding its digital roadmap in line with global healthcare trends and operational imperatives.
