Divisional Railway Hospital (DRH) in Nagpur has inaugurated a dedicated Outpatient Department (OPD) under the Retired Employees Liberalised Health Scheme (RELHS), aimed at providing enhanced healthcare services for retired railway employees. The facility was inaugurated by Chief Nursing Superintendent Anneamma George in the presence of Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Manish Agarwal, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM) P. Khairkar, and Chief Medical Superintendent (CMS) Dr. G.S. Manjunatha, along with other senior officials and medical staff.

The RELHS OPD is specifically designed to cater to the needs of retired railway personnel, creating a senior-friendly environment with reduced waiting times and an improved patient experience. This initiative reflects the Nagpur Division’s dedication to prioritising the health and well-being of its retirees.

In addition to launching the RELHS OPD, DRH Nagpur has upgraded its medical capabilities with the introduction of two advanced devices. A Transcutaneous Bilirubinometer has been installed for neonatal care, enabling non-invasive and efficient screening of newborns for hyperbilirubinemia. The hospital has also added an intraoperative imaging device for orthopaedic and urology surgeries. Featuring dual 19-inch monitors and advanced imaging technology, this device ensures precision in surgical procedures while minimising radiation exposure, significantly enhancing patient safety and care quality.

During the inauguration, DRM Manish Agarwal commended the hospital’s medical team for their efforts in modernising healthcare services and acknowledged their dedication to improving the quality of care provided to patients. These advancements mark a significant step forward in healthcare delivery for the Nagpur Division.
