The National Conference on Nursing Excellence and Leadership witnessed the esteemed presence of Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Brajesh Pathak ji, who attended the event as the Chief Guest. His graceful presence added immense value and inspiration to the occasion, held to honour the pivotal role of nursing in the healthcare sector.
Shri Pathak ji inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp and warmly interacting with nursing professionals, academicians, and students. He also distributed scholarships to the winners of the Nightingale Scholar Hunt, encouraging and blessing the young achievers for a bright future in the nursing profession.
In his keynote address, Shri Pathak ji emphasized the crucial role nurses play in the healthcare system. He highlighted that nurses are the backbone of the healthcare system, and their contribution is equally significant as that of doctors. Nurses not only provide medical assistance but also offer emotional and compassionate care, treating patients like members of their own family. Their dedication, discipline, and selfless service are what keep the healthcare system running efficiently.
He further assured that the government is committed to improving the nursing sector and proposed that necessary policy changes will be brought forward to empower and uplift the nursing community. He concluded by saying that no medical institution can sustain itself without skilled and dedicated nurses. Their presence is not just supportive but foundational to quality healthcare delivery.
On this occasion, Shri Brajesh Pathak ji also presented Lifetime Achievement Awards to two distinguished personalities. Dr. Hem Chandra, President of the Academy of Hospital Administration, was honoured for his exceptional contributions to Nursing Administration. Maj. Gen. Sushila Shahi, VSM (Retd.), was felicitated for her remarkable and inspiring work in the field of Nursing. Their dedication and leadership continue to shape and uplift the nursing profession in India.
