During his upcoming visit to Ghana on July 2-3, PM Narendra Modi will announce the establishment of a Vaccine Hub aimed at boosting healthcare infrastructure and vaccine development in the country.
The initiative was confirmed by MEA Secretary (Economic Relations) Dammu Ravi, who said the hub will be a key part of India’s broader development cooperation with Ghana, especially as the West African nation undergoes economic restructuring under IMF guidelines.
The vaccine hub is expected to strengthen India-Ghana healthcare collaboration, enhance local vaccine manufacturing and distribution, and support public health capacity building. The announcement aligns with India’s goal of becoming a global hub for affordable healthcare solutions and expanding its footprint in Africa’s health sector.
