A microchip developed by AIIMS Raebareli proved to be a lifesaver for many pilgrims at the fair. The chip triggered an alarm on doctors’ mobile phones as soon as the condition of the pilgrims became critical, allowing timely medical intervention. As a result, all the patients have now recovered.

Microchip

Doctors had already identified the risk of heart attacks and other ailments in these individuals. At the request of the pilgrims, the microchip was implanted near their hearts before they were discharged from the hospital. When their health started deteriorating, the chip sent an alert to the doctors’ phones. This allowed doctors to either call the patients in for treatment or dispatch an ambulance to bring them to the hospital.

Case Studies

  1. Sector 22: A 55-year-old pilgrim, Bajrang Bharti, from Madhya Pradesh, had a microchip implanted. On January 25, his blood pressure began to rise. The chip immediately sent an alert to the doctors’ phones. They contacted him and advised him to visit the sub-central hospital in Sector 20. Bajrang Bharti is now healthy.
  2. Sector 18: A 75-year-old pilgrim, Dev Bharti, had a microchip implanted. On the morning of January 22, he developed a fever. At the same time, the chip triggered an alarm on the doctors’ phones. They immediately contacted him and advised him to visit the hospital. After receiving treatment, Dev Bharti has fully recovered.
  3. Sector 21: A 33-year-old woman, Radhika, who had come for Kalpavas, also had a microchip implanted. On January 18, around 4 PM, she experienced mild breathing difficulties. The doctors’ team quickly responded by dispatching an ambulance to her location, and she was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Highly Effective Technology

The microchip has proven to be highly effective. It monitors the patient’s health for a week and sends early warning signals to doctors before any critical issues arise. Thanks to this technology, all patients received timely treatment and have now fully recovered. – Dr. Suyash, Superintendent, AIIMS Raebareli
