In a significant step towards enhancing public health, Prof. (Dr.) Atul Goel, Director-General of Health Services (DGHS) at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, led a pivotal meeting with key health professional bodies from across India. Held in a hybrid format, the meeting gathered representatives from over 27 esteemed health organizations to discuss and advance the Ministry’s health promotion initiatives.

Dr. Goel highlighted the need to shift focus from merely diagnosing and treating diseases to investing resources in disease prevention. This approach aligns with the broader goal of reducing the incidence of non-communicable diseases through proactive health promotion.
