The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) announced on Monday that the Namo Bharat trains and stations have been specifically designed to support the movement of stretchers, ensuring smooth patient transfers between Delhi and Meerut.

In a video, NCRTC highlighted that all stations feature spacious lifts and wide entry gates, allowing easy access for stretchers. Additionally, designated spaces inside the trains have been allocated for stretchers, with attendants available to assist patients during transit.

The corporation emphasized that Namo Bharat provides a faster and more reliable alternative for transferring patients between Meerut and Delhi, eliminating traffic-related delays.

According to NCRTC, the travel time on the Namo Bharat train between the two cities is around 40 minutes, and fares vary between ₹150 and ₹600, depending on the distance traveled.

The Namo Bharat project spans 82 km, with 55 km already in operation. The route, which connects Ashok Nagar in Delhi to Meerut in Uttar Pradesh, includes 11 stations, and the trains operate at a maximum speed of 160 kmph.
