Devotees at Kumbh will now get free oral checkup at the Aarogya Mukha Kumbh. The camp will be held at the existing Netra Kumbh complex on Bajrang Das Marg in Sector 6, Prayagraj Mela. Over the course of the next month, oral cancer will be screened at the primary level using artificial intelligence (AI).
Aarogya Mukha Kumbh is being jointly organized by the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, and the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. It was inaugurated by Dr. Krishna Gopal, the Sah-Sarkaryawah of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). The event was attended by Dr. Deepika Mishra, a cancer specialist from AIIMS, and other senior medical professionals. Dr. Krishna Gopal stated that this health centre would be highly beneficial for the general public, as it will help in the early detection of oral cancer.
Over the next month, the Aarogya Mukha Kumbh will operate at the Netra Kumbh complex, offering services from renowned cancer specialists and scientists from across the country.
Dr. Praveen Reddy, Chief Medical Officer of the Netra Kumbh Organizing Committee, shared that the oral cancer screening will be conducted at the primary level, and data will be compiled for further analysis.
